While there are no documented risks to using pure, unfragranced salts in the bath during a normal pregnancy / breastfeeding, the advice on our packs is to seek advice of a healthcare professional before use.
The reason for this is that there can be complications with pregnancy which can affect each individual differently and we wouldn’t want our customers or their babies to suffer any adverse effects.
When it comes to our products which have added essential oils, such as our scrubs and Alchemy range, we do have a cautious approach and advise against using them during pregnancy or breastfeeding. This is because we do not know what other products you may also be using which contain essential oils, and there can be a cumulative effect.
We would also like to remind you to take care not to overheat during your pregnancy, and to keep your bath at around 37 degrees. You can read more about this from the experts on the babycentre site here: https://www.babycentre.co.uk/x546741/is-it-safe-to-have-hot-baths-during-pregnancy
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions.
